   I thought I was saving by buying this unit without the batteries. Turns out buying the batteries on my own cost me more money than if I bought this system with batteries.
   
   I don't think I even purchased the correct batteries on my own. I guess there is a reason they offer the system with the batteries. The system itself is solid and surprised me when I received it. The quality is well worth the money. That is not something I can say for most things I buy now-a-days...
   
   Bottom line - if you buy this system spend the extra money on the system with the batteries...
